I feel a bit awkward much of the time, and going on this site makes me nervous though I feel somewhat compelled to do so in order to reach out and commune (icate) with like-minded people whom I have to believe are out here in the world. My hope is that this will provide an opportunity to share in a safe and meaningful way what is in my heart (provided I'm in touch with it) and to experience inspiration and support for the spiritual (which includes intellect and anything else meaningful) journey. I am a homecare nurse by profession. I play drums well enough to experience the joy of making music. I like to read and hear about pop culture, because it is a hotbed of creativity from which comes many great as well as many stupid things. I like to cook and eat good wholesome food, though I haven't done much cooking since having a job as a cook before going for my nursing degree in my late thirties. I feel young in spirit though my body is beginning to slow down. I've always, since my teens, resisted the very thought of aging and believe this will be one of the big hurdles I must cross in order to grow. I feel mightily privileged to live in America, though we are a young and very stupid adolescent nation right now and I hope that everyone who is sensible and committed to spiritual evolution here can help avoid stirring up too much pain and trouble worldwide. I believe in the edict ” think globally, act locally” unless one is called to wider political activity. Obviously I believe in having a calling, though it is possible for one to obfuscate that calling and many if not most of us do so to some extent, hence our “struggle” or “journey” in life.
